Red Bull redefines the classic 400-meter sprint.
The Red Bull 400 challenge may be the world’s most extreme 400-meter race. It consists of sprinting (more like climbing on all fours) up a ski slope with a 180- to 200-meter vertical gain for an equivalent distance of one lap around a standard outdoor track. The race was founded by former Austrian Olympic sprinter Andreas Berger in 2011 with the first race held on the Kulm ski slope in Austria. This year hundreds of runners participated in the 4th annual quad-burning run hosted in Harrachov, Czech Republic.
